Sports Podiatry clinic takes the privacy of your personal information seriously.

A confidentiality incident log is maintained

Your personal information can be collected when an appointment is taken by phone or through the website. The management software used by the clinic is Medesync. This software is harmonized with Quebec Health Record, pharmacies and medical testing laboratories.

 

The only people who have access to your personal information are the administrative staff and the clinicians. The administrative staff has access to your personal information inquired when an appointment is taken. The clinicians have access to your personal information and your health record related to the field of expertise of the podiatrist, respecting the Code of ethics of podiatrists.

 

The Privacy Act complaint process

You can submit a complaint to the clinic’s staff when you are feeling aggrieved. The complaint will be treated as quickly as possible and the person in charge of managing personal information will contact you for a follow up.

 

Sharing of your personal information

Your free, clear and informed consent is implied as soon as you complete the medical form and questionnaire for the podiatric services and administration of the firm. The third parties involved in the delivery of podiatric services are all Quebecers and/or Canadians. For the time being, these parties are Medesync for clinical management and communication with pharmacies, medical doctors, laboratories, radiology clinics, and Cyberimpact for its newsletter database. There is also Bi-Op, a foot orthotic laboratory, that takes action in service delivery.
